Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Christian advisor and other advisors?

A Christian advisor is not better than other advisors. We are just different. We approach client’s unique situations with an eternal perspective, and we believe there’s a proven model for wealth management built on Biblical wisdom and principles that works for all people under all economic circumstances.

What is a Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®)?

A Certified Kingdom Advisor® is a certification designed for professionals serving clients in the Christian faith and who take a values-based approach to financial matters. It involves a course of study that integrates biblical principles with core financial advisory training.

What is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)?

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification is the standard of excellence in financial planning.  When it comes to your financial security, it’s all about partnering with someone who is committed to putting your interests first. CFP® professionals have attained this standard of excellence in financial planning by meeting education, experience and ethical standards, and as part of their certification.  In short, if someone is giving you advice on your finances, it’s great to know they actually have a background in finance.  That’s why we require every wealth advisor to be a CFP® professional.

What’s the number one problem people come to you to solve?

The number one problem that we solve is YOUR number one problem.  Said another way, whatever is important to you, is important to us. Questions we commonly get are:

• Am I saving enough?
• Can I retire early?
• Do I have enough insurance?
• Can you help with me with estate planning?
• Can you manage my investments?

We start with your number one goal, and move on from there.  Our goal is to make sure you have all the relevant information, presented to you in plain English, so you can make an informed decision.

Is there a minimum amount of assets required to work with you?

No, we believe everyone deserves professional financial advice regardless of age or assets.  Come as you are!

Do you work remotely?

We provide virtual services so that we aren’t limited by location.  So regardless of what state you live in, we’d love the opportunity to serve you.  If you live in Indiana, we would love to meet in person.  And we love to travel, so chances are at some point we will come to you for a meeting!

How are you paid?

Our firm only receives payment directly from our clients.  That means, no commissions, no sales quotas, and no selling of products.  This dramatically reduces any conflicts of interests between us and our clients.  Additionally, our CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals receive a salary, plus a bonus based on firm performance.  This ensures all clients are treated the same regardless of client income or investable assets.  Our focus is on providing exceptional wealth advisory services, equally, to all clients.

What do you believe in? Do we believe the same things?

Because wealth has a different meaning to each individual person, we don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to when it comes to your finances. With that said, we do find that truly wealthy people have a great balance of meaningful relationships in combination with financial freedom.  In other words, they have the means and freedom to pour into the relationships that are most important to them.  We hope you share this desire as well.

What does an advisor do that I can’t do myself?

Let’s be completely transparent.  Everything we do, you can do for yourself!  Yes, that’s right.  However, the better question is, do you want to do this?  And is it the best use of your time?  Often, clients hire us because they want to be very intentional with their finances, but they either don’t have the interest or the time to do it themselves, and they know they want it done right!  Or they desire a partnership where they feel more comfortable having a “co-pilot” fly with them.

What is a blended family?

A stepfamily, blended family, bonus family, or instafamily is a family where at least one parent has children that are not biologically related to the other spouse. Either parent, or both, may have children from previous relationships or marriages.
